Emsworth - Home of the Fireplace

We describe Emsworth Fireplaces as the 'home of the fireplaces' because we have been manufacturing fireplaces since 1934. Over the last 70 years we have seen many changes in lifestyle and preferred fireplace designs, though some of our classic fireplaces have stood the test of time and have remained in production.

Our fireplace designs are available in over 90 specialist fireplace retail outlets throughout Britain. Whether you are looking for a beautiful timber fireplace in pine, oak, alder,, walnut or other wood, or you require a marble fireplace in Italian, Portuguese or Spanish marble, we have the fireplace for you. We also create many stone fireplaces using limestone or church stone/sandstone. A Stone Fireplace gives a solid and timeless quality to a room and is a good choice of fireplace for large older properties.

Many of our marble or wood fireplaces, for example the Hawley Fireplace or the Blendworth Fireplace, can also be supplied with a traditional tiled fire insert. A tiled insert is easy to keep clean and provides colour and detail to a living space. Many of our tiled fireplace surrounds are based on traditional designs from the Victorian or Art Noveau periods.

New Designs for Fireplaces in the 21st Century

Nowadays, the ever popular traditional designs such as the Arundel Fireplace and the Greenwich Fireplace have been joined by the ultra modern 'hole in the wall' fireplaces designs such as the Saturn and Plato fireplaces. This type of fireplace is powered by a gas fire and can be turned on at the flick of switch. The flames play through either ceramic coals which look like a traditional coal fire, or through pebbles to give that very clean modern appearance. Either way, there is no fuss and no mess, just instant heat from a cosy gas-fire fireplace. The gas fireplace is becoming ever more efficient and can be fitted where a real wood or coal fireplace may cause installation problems.See our Venus Gas Fireplace as an example of a modern gas fired fireplace.

New style for existing fireplaces

We offer a range of steel hob grates and cast iron fireplaces. Our hob grates can be adapted to most sizes of fireplace opening and we can offer design advice. Examples include the Petworth Hob Grate and Warwick Hob Grate.

Fire Baskets fitted with a Modern Gas Fire

Emsworth Fireplaces has traditionally produced beautiful designs of fire basket which can be placed into an existing fireplace opening. You can of course use our fire baskets to burn coal or wood but we supply many or our fireplace dog basket designs with a gas fire complete with ceramic coals or pebbles (your choice). Installation of the gas fire is a straight forward process and once in place, you have clean, instant heat plus the cosiness of a real flame fire. Examples here would include our Milan Fire Basket and our Roma Copper Fire Basket - both complete with gas fire. We show most of our fire basket designs with pebbles but we are happy to supply ceramic coals or logs and driftwood for a more traditional look or indeed to supply the fire basket for a real coal or wood fire.

Wood Burning Stoves

We stock the Fogo Montahna range of wood burning stoves. The glass fronted wood burning stoves have high fuel efficiency and allow clean burning. Some models even allow hot air to be directed to another room so that one wood burner can be used to heat more than one living space. See our wood burning stoves. We also provide the Fogo Montahna installation and usage manuals in case you have lost yours.

The Emsworth Fireplace Showroom

Although we sell our fireplaces through retailers across the UK, we also have a well stocked Fireplace Showroom at the village of Emsworth in Hampshire. We have convenient car parking right next to our fireplace showroom and we have an extensive display of fireplaces in traditional and contemporary designs. The showroom adjoins our fireplace factory where our skilled craftsmen create fireplaces in marble, wood and stone. Emsworth works in partnership with some of the best marble quarries in Europe so we always have the very best materials available for our marble fireplace designs. Why visit us and spend an hour in our comfortable showroom. We will be happy to advise on appropriate designs, fireplace installation and maintenance.

We also have an interesting a range of companion sets, solid fuel and wood burning stoves from Esse, Brosley, Charnwood, Hunter, Dunsley and Jetmaster on display together with gas fires from Verine, Magiglo, Paragon, Courts and Burley range of fireplace accessories for you to choose from. Our showroom is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Mon - Fri and Sat 9.00 - 12.00 noon (except Bank holiday weekends)
