A History of Contemporary Wooden Fireplace Design
Emsworth Fireplaces have been designing and manufacturing fireplaces for over 70 years so we can offer a truely extensive range of designs.
Our catalogue of contemporary wooden fireplaces and wood mantle designs are all manufactured at our own fireplace design and manufacturing studio. On our web site you will find many of our most popular contemporary wooden fireplace surround designs. Each fireplace can be offered in a wide variety of woods so the examples shown here represent only a small fraction of what we can really offer. The same wood fireplace design could be offered in say a pale close grained timber such as maple, a warm strong grained timber such as oak, or a richly coloured timber such as walnut or mahogany.
